John Turner, MD

Dr. Turner was born and raised in Tallahassee and has a heart for the Big Bend. He believes that he has a calling for medicine and sees it as his ministry to care for others. His passion is getting to know his patients and support them throughout the ups and downs so that they can pursue a fulfilling and healthy life. He is a graduate of Lincoln High School, Florida State University, the FSU College of Medicine, and the TMH Family Medicine Residency. Dr. Turner is board certified in Family Medicine and trained all over the Big Bend, from Tallahassee to Madison, Crawfordville, Quincy, and Marianna. He has been in private practice for over six years in Tallahassee.
Dr. Turner’s interests in Family Medicine extend across all phases of life: from newborn/pediatrics to geriatrics. He believes that there are joys and struggles we go through with each phase of life, and he loves being there for his patients as they explore every new chapter. Dr. Turner also has a passion for international medical work and has embarked on medical mission trips to eastern Africa (2017), Nicaragua (2018), and Ukraine (2022).
Outside of medicine, Dr. Turner loves spending time with his wife Rachel and four children. He is very involved in his church. His hobbies include traveling, painting, writing, Florida State athletics, and high school football. Don’t get him talking about FSU sports or high school football, he may never stop!

Joselyn Johnson, ARNP
Joselyn is a native of North Florida and has a plethora of experience in both emergency medicine and primary care. She is a graduate of Mosley High School in Panama City, Florida State University, and the University of South Alabama’s Nurse Practitioner program. Joselyn previously worked at the TMH ER as a registered nurse where she gained valuable experience in critical care before becoming a fully licensed nurse practitioner. She has a loyal following of patients who appreciate her friendly demeanor and holistic approach to medicine. Her passions in medicine include women’s health, parenting, and supporting families. Joselyn and her husband Brad have two happy children. She is a lifelong learner and outside of the office she enjoys reading, baking, being outdoors with her family, and traveling.
